Cost: $175; additional non-refundable $8.50 in U.S Postal office money order for course material, and $27 in cash or U.S Postal office money order for American Red Cross certification fee upon completion.

Target Participatant: Group/Family Child Care applicant,

                                     Licensed Group/Family Child Care provider, and

                                     Center-based Child Care program staff/director

Course Description:

This training that combines lecture, interactive video demonstrations and hands-on practice will prepare all caregivers with the first aid skills needed to act quickly and competently during and emergency, and how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adult, infants and children under 12 until authorized medical personnel arrive.

Upon successful completion of written and demonstration tests, participant will be given American Red Cross CPR (for adult, child and infant) certification, and First Aid certification. Both certification are valid for 2 years.
